Race Day Timeline
- 6:00am ~ Bag Check opens
- 6:00am ~ Race Shuttle starts running from West Gate Shopping Center
- 6:15am-7:15am ~ Packet Pick Up ~ Hi Wire Brewing, 284 Lyman St., Asheville, NC
- 7:00am ~ DJ starts
- 7:30am ~ Half Marathon start ~ The race start is at the entrance gate to the brewery, same start and finish as the 5k.
- 7:45am ~ 5k start
- 8:00am ~ Food Trucks open
- 8:30am ~ Hi-Wire bar opens
- 8:45am ~ 5k Awards (tentative)
- 10:30am ~ Half Marathon Awards (tentative)
- 10:30am ~ Bag Check closes
- 12:00pm ~ Race Suttles stop running

Half Marathon
Race Start Time – 7:30am
Starting line is at the Hi-Wire entrance gate right off Lyman Ave.
There are 5 aid stations.
No dogs allowed ~ Due to some of the out and back sections and the narrow nature of the greenways, there are no strollers allowed.
Mile 1 – Port-a-john
Mile 3.1 – Water, Port-a-john
Mile 5 – Water, Tailwind, and Port-a-john
Mile 7/ Mile 10 – Water and Tailwind. There are public rest rooms in the French Broad River Park.
Mile 9 – Water, Port-a-john, Tailwind, and fruit
Mile 11.8 – Port-a-john
5k
Race Start Time – 7:45am
Dogs and Strollers are allowed but must start at the back.
Starting line is at the Hi-Wire entrance gate right off Lyman Ave.
There is 1 water stop at 1.5 miles.
1 hour time limit.
Post Race Beer
Choose from one of Hi-Wire Brewing’s flagship beers. You must be over 21 and have the beer tag on your race bib to redeem for your beer. We can’t give out a beer if you you don’t have your beer ticket (see the Hi-Wire logo on the bottom right hand corner of the race bib). Also, if you are asked for your ID, your race bib does NOT replace your actual ID. Please have your ID ready.
