Race Day Timeline
- 6:00am ~ Race Shuttle starts running from Harrah’s Cherokee Center in downtown (see Parking for details)
- 6:15am-7:15am ~ Packet Pick Up ~ Hi Wire Brewing, 284 Lyman St., Asheville, NC
- 6:30am ~ Bag Check opens
- 7:00am ~ DJ starts
- 7:30am ~ Half Marathon starts
- 7:30am ~ Shuttle pauses during the race
- 7:45am ~ 5k starts
- 8:30am ~ Hi-Wire bar opens
- 8:45am ~ 5k Awards (tentative)
- 9:30am ~ Happy Belly Food Trucks opens
- 9:30am ~ Runner Shuttle begins running again
- 10:30am ~ Half Marathon Awards (tentative)
- 10:30am ~ Bag Check closes
- 12:00pm ~ Race Suttles stop running
Dogs on the Course?
For safety purposes, and in compliance with our race insurance, we do not allow dogs or any other animals to run with participants at our events. Service animals will be allowed with prior approval (more than 5 days ahead of race day send request to info@kickitevents.com) and supporting documentation. Running with your animal will result in disqualification from award categories and timing results.
Post Race Beer
Enjoy a Hi-Wire Leisure Time Lager or NA option. You must be over 21 and have the beer tag on your race bib to redeem for your beer. We can’t give out a beer if you you don’t have your beer ticket (see the Hi-Wire logo on the bottom right hand corner of the race bib). Also, if you are asked for your ID, your race bib does NOT replace your actual ID. Please have your ID ready.
Non Alcohol drink options as well.
Post Race Fuel
We’ll be supplying fruit, nuts, bars and water to refuel post race.
Happy Belly Food Truck will be onsite and opening at 9:30am if you’re looking for more of a meal while you wait for your runner, awards or while you enjoy your post race beverage.
